Great Adirondack Brewing Company, 2442 Main Street, has closed its doors. The Kane family, owners of the business, made the closure announcement on the restaurant’s Facebook page on Nov. 8.
“For the past 35 years, we’ve been lucky enough to welcome so many of you through our doors, and in that time, you’ve truly become family to us,” the Kane’s stated. “It’s been such a joy and a privilege to serve this amazing community, and we can’t thank you enough for all the memories and good times we’ve shared together.”
Originally named Great Adirondack Steak & Seafood, the business rebranded in 2018 to Great Adirondack Brewing Company after its on-site craft brewery began to grow in popularity. The business offered brunch, lunch and dinner menus and featured a seven-barrel brew system.
Most known for their prime rib and seafood, the business offered a diverse menu, with something for everyone. The on-site brewery also offered a variety of ales and lagers, made in house.
According to the company, the journey wouldn’t have been made possible without employees and the loyal customers. The customers and staff made the place what it is, the owners said.
“The Kane family has always strived to make everyone feel welcome, and we’re incredibly thankful to all of you who made this journey with us,” the post shared. “From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say thank you to every single person who has been part of this journey with us. Thank you for the laughter, the support, and the love you’ve shared with us. We will never forget it, and we love you all so much.”
According to comments on the initial post, the business welcomed large amounts of visitors throughout the year before permanently closing. The Brewing Company did not immediately return NEWS10’s request for comment.
