Princess Kate delivers an emotional statement addressing baby loss.

A Royal Mother Speaks from the Heart
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is a proud mother of three healthy children. Yet, she never forgets those who have faced the heartbreaking loss of a baby. In a moving gesture, she shared an emotional message in honor of Baby Loss Awareness Week, offering comfort and hope to grieving families.

Lighting a Candle for Awareness
To mark the week’s Wave of Light event—where people around the world light candles in remembrance—Kate posted a photograph of a glowing candle on social media. The candle, from Plum & Ashby, supports Tommy’s, a charity dedicated to researching miscarriages, premature births, and stillbirths.

“Baby Loss Awareness Week is such an important moment to support those who have experienced the devastation of baby loss. Sending love, strength, and hope to anyone affected,” she wrote.

Continuing Her Advocacy
The Princess has long championed organizations like Tommy’s and continues to raise awareness about baby loss each year. Her compassion for families who have endured such pain has become a hallmark of her royal work.

A Compassionate Conversation
In 2020, Kate visited the Institute of Reproductive and Development Biology at Imperial College London, where she met families who had suffered baby loss. Among them was Clare Worgan, whose daughter, Alice, was stillborn.

Kate gently told her, “It’s so brave of you to talk so openly. Much of the research and support today is driven by parents who have lived through this experience and want to help others. It is so inspirational.”

A Message of Hope
Through her words and actions, the Princess of Wales continues to stand beside families affected by pregnancy and baby loss—reminding them they are not alone, and their stories matter.
