LAHORE: Education boards across Punjab have increased the registration and related fees for students of matriculation classes 9 and 10 for the 2026-28 academic session, citing financial constraints.
All nine boards in Punjab have officially started the matriculation registration process. Students can submit their registration forms along with the normal fee till June 8.
The total cost of registration under the revised structure has been fixed at Rs. 2,350, which includes a registration fee of Rs. 1,150, a processing fee of Rs. 870, and a sports fee of Rs. 300.
Students who miss the initial deadline will still be able to register between June 9 and June 23 by paying an additional late fee of Rs. 600.
The boards have also updated the charges for other services. Correction of personal data will be allowed till October 31 for which a fee of Rs. 750 will be charged, after which the fee will increase to Rs. 1,250.

Similarly, subject changes can be made till October 31 at a cost of Rs. 2,400, increasing to Rs. 2,900 after the last date.
Migration fee has been fixed at Rs. 4,800.
For registration, students will have to submit a B form along with their father’s national identity card.
Teachers and parents have expressed concern over the rising costs, saying that the increase could put additional financial strain on families with limited incomes.
