Beloved Actress Died From A Heart Attack

Emma Chambers may have died from a heart attack, according to one of The Vicar of Dibley’s producers.

The 53-year-old, who played verger Alice Tinker alongside Dawn French’s vicar, died suddenly on Wednesday.

The show’s executive producer, Jon Plowman, spoke about the star’s sad and untimely death.

Speaking on Radio 4, he said: ‘It’s no age to have a heart attack, as I understand it.

‘Emma was a gifted comic actress who made any part she played look easy. She was adored by the cast and crew.’

According to her agent, Chambers’ died of natural causes.

‘Emma created a wealth of characters and an immense body of work. She brought laughter and joy to many,’ the touching tribute read.

Former co-star Dawn French said that she’d miss Emma and ‘loved her a lot’.
Her Notting Hill co-star Hugh Grant also paid a heartfelt tribute on Twitter, saying: ‘Emma Chambers was a hilarious and very warm person and of course a brilliant actress. Very sad news.’

Aside from being a staple character in The Vicar of Dibley for 13 years, Chambers appeared in shows Drop the Dead Donkey, Take a Girl Like You, and Little Robots, as well as movies Wind in the Willows, Notting Hill, and The Clandestine Marriage.
