Dolly Parton’s sister, Freida Parton, is asking fans to pray for the country legend following recent health concerns.
On September 28, Dolly, 79, announced she was postponing her Las Vegas residency—originally set for December—until September 2026 to focus on recovery from multiple medical procedures. She expressed a desire to return stronger and deliver the high-quality show fans expect.
Freida shared an emotional message on Facebook (October 7), saying, “Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately… I believe in the power of prayer… She’s strong, she’s loved… Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”
Though Dolly hasn’t disclosed details, she recently canceled a Dollywood appearance due to a kidney stone and infection. The health issues come during a difficult year, following the death of her husband, Carl Dean, in March.
