Tribute to Ann E. Todd: A Shining Light of Hollywood’s Golden Age

We remember and honor Ann E. Todd, a cherished child star of Hollywood’s Golden Age, who passed away on February 7 in 2020 at the age of 88.

In her youth, Ann lit up the silver screen in nearly 40 films, captivating audiences in classics like IntermezzoHow Green Was My ValleyKings’ RowBlood and Sand, and All This, and Heaven Too. She later brought warmth and charm to American television on The Stu Erwin Show from 1950 to 1953.

But Ann’s story didn’t end when the cameras stopped rolling. With grace and quiet determination, she left show business to become a librarian, author, and publisher, dedicating her life to knowledge, literature, and learning.

Her legacy spans far beyond film—she was a woman of many chapters, each one marked by talent, intellect, and quiet strength. Ann E. Todd may be gone, but the light she brought to the screen and the world endures.

Rest in peace, Ann.
