Prince Harry Warns Parents About Posting Kids Online — as Meghan Shares Family Videos
Prince Harry has issued a warning to parents about sharing photos of their children online, even as wife Meghan Markle continues to post family content.
During an appearance on Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know (Oct. 29), Harry, 40, said parents should be “really worried” about posting kids’ photos due to “unregulated AI” and privacy risks. The Duke, who avoids social media himself, cautioned that images can be misused in ways parents can’t control.
The comments came shortly after Meghan, 44, posted and deleted a video showing Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4 — revealing their faces for the first time in years. A source said Meghan’s posts are part of a strategy to shape the public image of their family and brand, potentially paving the way for the children’s future influence online.
Since returning to Instagram, Meghan has used her kids more often in her lifestyle content ahead of her upcoming Netflix series With Love. Critics, including royal photographer Arthur Edwards, have accused her of monetizing the children’s image.
Meanwhile, Harry admitted on the same podcast that his kids “don’t know” what he does for a living, saying only, “They know we help other people.” Since leaving royal duties in 2020, his work has focused mainly on the Invictus Games and advocacy around mental health and social media, though several of his business ventures have faltered.
Harry’s strained relationship with King Charles III remains unresolved despite brief meetings following the king’s cancer diagnosis. Though tensions have eased recently, sources say reconciliation still depends on rebuilding trust.
